Liquid Prebiotics Biostile Is a dietary supplement with sweeteners containing arabinogalactan, inulin and beta-glucans.
Arabinogalactan – promotes intestinal balance
Arabinogalactan is a biopolymer consisting of arabinose and galactose monosaccharides. In nature, especially in plants, it is a major component of many mucilage’s, but the one in Biostile Liquid Micro Balance® comes from larch (Larix laricina and Larix occidentalis). The arabinogalactan of larch is a dietary fiber that ferments in the intestine. Iz has a prebiotic and bifidogenic effect and contributes to intestinal regulation.
Chicory – support for weight loss and improvement of cardiac activity
Inulin is found in chicory root (Cichorium intybus). Chicory root extract helps stimulate the production of digestive juices and gastrointestinal movement. It can also help with weight loss in addition to diet and supports heart health, which was also proven in our clinical study1.
Liquid Prebiotics and Details of the clinical study
The interventional randomized clinical trial involved 120 subjects testing Biostile Liquid Prebiotics® and 4 other products over an 8-week period. The study sought to demonstrate the effects of each supplement on metabolic syndrome components (e.g., LDL cholesterol, visceral body fat) in overweight and obese adults. In addition, the effect on some inflammatory factors and markers of intestinal permeability (e.g., zonulin) was examined. All participants were also required to follow a restrictive diet.
Statistically significant results
- reduction of total blood cholesterol level by up to 10 %**
- weight loss up to 9.1 kg*
- reduction of systolic blood pressure by 8.5 mm Hg*
- reduction of intestinal permeability marker by up to 23 %*
*Results after 8 weeks
**Results after 4 weeks
Lower intestinal permeability
Leaky gut or “intestinal permeability” is a condition in which the mucosa of the small intestine becomes damaged, causing undigested food particles, toxic waste products, and bacteria to “leak” through the intestine and enter the bloodstream. Zonulin is a protein synthesized in intestinal and liver cells that increases intestinal permeability. Less zonulin therefore makes the intestinal wall more resistant.
