Biostile Vitamin C Microencapsulated A natural source of vitamin C from a bar in a microcapsule
The only vitamin C produced by the patented low temperature microencapsulation process
Vitamin C is a water-soluble vitamin that humans cannot synthesize and therefore must be obtained through food. After ingestion, a specific substance becomes available to the target tissues in a certain concentration, which is called bioavailability.
Bioavailability is conditioned by various mechanisms in the body: rate of absorption, mode of distribution in the body, metabolism, and excretion.
For vitamin C, the rate of intestinal absorption is a limiting factor in bioavailability. There appears to be an upper limit of absorption capacity through the intestinal wall, regardless of the dose taken. Therefore, we looked for a way to ensure better absorption and targeted delivery with equal intake of active substance.
To improve the rate of vitamin C absorption, various forms of vitamin C have been developed: solutions, candies, tablets. Such forms did not show a significant difference in bioavailability.
The technology that has been proven to improve the bioavailability of vitamin C is based on microencapsulation techniques. It is a technology that takes active substances by building around itself an additional wall that serves as a mantle. There are several ways to encapsulate vitamin C, but liposome processes currently dominate the market. Unfortunately, this technology has some drawbacks, the main ones being low encapsulation efficiency, short shelf life and product taste, which some users find inconvenient.
Biostile has developed its own method of microencapsulating vitamin C with cyclodextrins, which is 100% natural and non-animal. The end product is a soft capsule containing 250 mg of microencapsulated bar of vitamin C, which is a source of natural, organically bound vitamin C, which is slowly and intentionally released from the gastrointestinal tract, allowing better absorption into the body and where our body needs it.
Biostile Vitamin C Microencapsulated dietary supplement from the bar, is a source of natural, organically bound vitamin C, in beta-cyclodextrin polysaccharide microcapsules.
Vitamin C plays a role in:
– functioning of the immune system during and after intense physical activity.
– creation of collagen for the normal functioning of blood vessels, bones, cartilage, gums, skin and teeth.
– in the protection of cells from oxidative stress.
Vitamin C contributes to:
– release of energy during metabolism
– functioning of the nervous system
– normal psychological functioning
– reduction of fatigue and exhaustion
– restore reduced forms of vitamin E.
Vitamin C increases iron absorption.
